Match Report | East Devon 1's went to Teign after a good result the week before against a strong Torbay team. Even with a reasonably different side East Devon were still confident that they would be able to get a result at Teign. It became obvious very quickly that this was going to be a very tough game for East Devon with continuous pressure straight from the whistle from Teign with high pressing and not allowing East any time on the ball or any space to pass their way out from their half. Teign soon got their rewards for the high pressure with the opening goal which was then quickly followed by a second well worked goal from a short corner routine. With East Devon heads down Teign all but confirmed the result with a 3rd goal before half time scored by former East Devon player Simon Dallas as Teign kept alive a short corner and was left at the back post to hit into the corner of the goal. East Devon's performance completely changed in the 2nd half, with some positive words at half time East looked much better in the 2nd half however, with 2 well worked short corners both hitting the post it just wasn't meant to be. With a couple more oppurtuinites for East Devon to get on the score sheet before the final whistle the game finished as it was at half time with a dissapointing result to lose 3-0 but a very strong 2nd half display against a very strong Teign side.
